Founder / Original Owner

Ed Kohlmeyer was a founding member of the PTROI (professional towing & recovery operators of Illinois). He was key in changing Round Lake Fire Department from a volunteer fire department to a fire protection district. He also served on the Round Lake fire department board and the police commission in Round Lake Beach.

Michael & Danette Kohlmeyer

Owners

Michael, son of Ed and Patti Kohlmeyer, the founders of the company, and his wife Danette are the second generation of owners for A-Tire County.

Rob, Joe & Bryan

Managers

With more than 50 years of combined experience, our managers, Rob, Joe and Bryan have helped shape A-Tire County Service.

Rob, Shop Manager, has been with us 18 years. He started pumping gas and working in the tire shop and is now the Shop Manager. Joe has been with us for 23 years. He started the same as Rob and is now the Upper Shop Service Manager. Bryan is the newest member of our team but has over 18 years of experience. He is the head of the Towing Department.

Dave, Mark & Austin, ASE Certified

Technicians

Dave has been with the company for 27 years and is an ASE Certified Auto Technician. Mark has been with us for 20 years and is also ASE Certified. Austin, son of owners Mike & Danette, started pumping gas and working in the tire shop 8 years ago and is now ASE Certified Auto & Diesel Technician.

Joey,Eddie and Greg are all valuable members of our company.

Eddie has been with A-Tire County Service for 8 years.

Margie & Patti

Business Office Staff

Our office staff is an important part of of our structure at A-Tire County Service. Margie and Patti are both veterans in our office having a total of almost 40 years experience with the company (26 years and 10 years respectively).
